Mitch & Mitch describes itself as a ‘kantry’ group. It all began with two members of Warsaw’s respected ‘Starzy Singers’ formation (percussionist Macio Moretti, at present Mr. Mitch, and guitarist Bartek Magneto, at present Mr. Mitch), who in 2002 founded the Mitch & Mitch duo. Their clearly defined goal was to record a classic tune for the ‘zorro’ film group. They haven’t been able to achieve their goal so far. Sensing the fast approaching Americanisation of the world, Mitch & Mitch decided to make it their subject matter, using their only and unique language: ‘country & eastern’.
They were born anew to sing about journey, their longing and love, their dilemmas and watching televison at the hairdresser’s. In Mitch’s apartment, taking advantage of the summer’s hot and fleeting days, they devised and recorded the songs – straight from the heart and onto a disc. Soon, the duo grew into a quintet; in two numbers they were given the help of other Mitchs who were encountered on life’s bumpy road. Having become aware that the music they have created is like a soothing tonic to their tired faces, they decided to lose no time and show to the world the final product – a disc in a box. And this is what happened. Over a year ago, the ‘Zgniłe Mięso Rekords’ label of the mysterious band ‘Mały Szu’ vehemently produced the CD ‘Luv Yer Country’, to please the inquisitive ears and eyes.
